CURRANT JAM accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Submitted works will be considered for our weekly digital articles or quarterly print mags. 

To submit/pitch, please fill out the form below. Please bear in mind that we are a small team, so we are not always able to respond to every pitch due to high volume. We will get back to you via email should your submission be a good fit.

• Submit finished work only. Unfinished work will not be considered.

• Only new work, no work that has already been published.

• We are open to literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, essays & poetry on any subject or theme.

• We read stories between 1,000 to 10,000 words–please include title and byline.

• We read poetry up to 800 words, please include title and byline.

• Include your name, pronouns & the city where you live.

• If you are including any accompanying visuals with your piece, please make sure you are sending them as .tiff or .jpeg files at 11.7” x 8.27” at 300 dpi (pixels per inch) (p.s. you can easily change the photo size in photo editing apps or photoshop). Please send them as individual files from your written work. If we receive images that do not meet these requirements, they will not be included with your piece.
